During the Berea City Council meeting, superintendent of Berea Community Schools Dr. Diane Hachett gave an update on the performance of the schools. She revealed that the community schools are among the highest performing in the state with the community schools being one of the top ten districts for ACT scores in the state.
There was also an update from the Room In The Inn, an organization that provides meals and nighttime shelter to homeless in Berea. The organization has reported a successful run so far but is looking for a permanent location to use as a shelter.
Lastly, the council has voted to accept parts of Stoney Creek into city maintenance.
