Two arrested for allegedly endangering welfare of a minor in a drug trafficking incident in Laurel County

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office arrested two individuals after a recent drug investigation in Laurel County.

The incident occurred on Lily Road, approximately 3 miles south of London on Tuesday afternoon at 3 PM.

Police located one individual in that area who was in possession of a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. She had allegedly sold methamphetamine just before the deputies arrived.

According to reports, two male juveniles also lived in the residence where the drug transactions took place. A second female adult reportedly the grandmother to the two juveniles lived in the residence and stated that she knew drug trafficking was occurring there.

The following two individuals were arrested:

  • 31-year-old Miranda Baker of London charged with first-degree first offense trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
  • 45-year-old Melissa Cox of London charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.

Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
