In a recent citation from the Richmond Police Department, a man with an unknown address allegedly attempted to bribe the arresting officer in order to get out of his trespassing charge.
According to Richmond Police, Clayborne Richardson was located at the Richmond Dunkin Donuts location, where he was allegedly criminally trespassing.
The citation details that Richardson was sitting on a bench in front of the business, where he was advised by an employee that he needed to leave the area. When police arrived, Richardson was taken into custody, where he then in the squad car told the officer he would provide $100 in order to secure his release.
When told that this was bribery of a public servant, Richardson replied and stated that, “I know, I know”.
He was then transported to the Madison County Detention Center.
