Tammy Cole was the guest speaker at the Richmond Rotary Club recently. Tammy is a member of Eastside Community Church who is hosting the 5K at the Richmond Centre on Saturday, September 14, 2024. Registration begins at 7 a.m. The race will begin at 8 a.m.
Last year, Eastside Community Church raised over $33,000 from sponsors and participants. The fee for the race is $25 for adults and $15 for youths. The money raised from the event goes to purchase food and snacks for elementary students in Madison and Estill counties.
Trophies will be awarded to winners immediately after the race. The school with the most participants will win $500. If you register online before August 31, you will receive a t-shirt.
Eastside Community Church has hosted the 5K Run/Walk for 12 years in conjunction with the Madison Backpack Program.
