Kentucky State Police, Post 8, Morehead received a call for assistance from Bath County dispatch around 5:15p.m. this Wednesday night in reference to a fatal collision.
Troopers responded interstate 64 around mile marker 124 in Bath County. The investigation, ongoing tonight, determined that a male individual was operating a tow truck owned by Jerry’s Towing of Morehead. While he was loading up a vehicle onto a rollback, he was struck by a commercial vehicle traveling West Bound. The male was identified as Troy Caldwell 54 years of age from Morehead. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene by Bath County Coroner Andrew Owens.
After extensive investigation, Troopers have charged Shodmon Yuldashev, 29 years of age, from Brooklyn New York with Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Kentucky State Police were assisted on scene by Bath County Sheriff’s Office, Bath County Coronor’s Office, Bath County EMS, and Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
