A three-year-old child sustained serious injuries Sunday afternoon in an accident involving a zero-turn mower.
The accident reportedly happened after a 6-year-old got the keys to the mower at a residence on Charlie Norris Road in Madison County.
Madison County Deputy Chitwood was first to respond to the scene and rendered first aid to the child’s leg until EMT’s arrived on scene.
The child was then transported to UK Hospital for further emergency treatment. The child’s condition is unknown at this time.
