Madison County Coroner Jimmy Cornelison has confirmed to WBON-TV9 that three people have died from today’s flash flooding.
Two of the deaths occurred inside Richmond city limits, another reported in the Tates Creek Road area. Neighboring Jackson County has also confirmed one storm related death.
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and the Madison County Coroner say they expect the death toll will climb in Madison and the surrounding counties.
The families of those who perished are being notified.
