The Madison County Drug Task Force arrested a wanted felon from Chicago, IL, yesterday in Richmond.
Anonymous tip was allegedly placed through the AHIDTA tip line (1-833-KYDRUGS) indicating that Marshawn Thomas was wanted in Chicago and is currently living in Richmond. The tip also alleged that Thomas recently opened a sandwich shop and that he was residing in the area using the alias name of DeJuan Mack. Further investigation revealed that it was the newly opened sandwich shop in town, Tela’s Kentucky Sandwich Shack.
The 40 year old from Chicago was arrested without incident early yesterday near his Richmond business.
He is currently lodged in the Madison County Detention Center awaiting extradition to Chicago for charges of Aggravated Kidnapping, Armed Robbery, and Possession of Cannabis over 30 grams. Thomas is also charged with Theft of Identity as a result of using someone else’s name and birthdate.
