Berea City Government announced this week that The Allen Company is expected to begin the city’s spring street resurfacing project soon, after the company was awarded a contract for the job last week. The Allen Company was the lone bidder for the project, with a bid of $819,991. It was accepted in a unanimous vote at last week’s meeting of the Berea City Council.
Berea City Administrator Rose Beverly announced the list of streets to be resurfaced, which include:
Jason Circle
Edgar Drive
Glades Street
Blue Lick Road
Kenton Drive
Highland Drive
Pinnacle to Cumberland
Kenway, Rose Street
Circle Drive
Pine Street
Meadowlark
Mayde Road to the railroad tracks
Ellipse Street
Leslie Drive
The parking lot and driveway of the water treatment plant off of J.C. Chambers Lane is also included.
Beverly told council members she expects the project to be completed this summer.
