Today was the day before the one year anniversary of Savannah Spurlock’s disappearance. Today also marks the day that a key suspect in that investigation was scheduled for a hearing in Garrard County court.
In July of 2019, David Sparks was arrested after Spurlock’s buried remains were discovered on his parents’ property in Garrard County.
He was charged with, and later indicted on, charges of murder, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with evidence. Sparks plead not guilty to the murder charge.
They have asked for a continuance and the next court appearance has been scheduled for March 6. Sparks was not in court on Friday.
