Around 1000 locations in Estill County are impacted with outages this morning. Nearly 6000 out in Jackson County. Over 8000 out in Laurel County, Over 1600 in Lee County, 80 in Madison County, 4700 in Rockcastle CountyCrews continue to work in these frigid conditions to restore areas as fast as possible, continually being hindered by reoccurring damage by more falling trees and limbs.
Company Statement: As of Tuesday morning, February 16th, Jackson Energy has approximately 28,000 members without service. We have a couple of transmission lines that powers four substations out of service. Those lines will be patrolled today to help with restoration. All of Jackson Energy crews and our contractor crews are currently working to restore service.
We will be receiving mutual aid assistance from in-state and out-of-state crews coming in today and tomorrow to assist with restoration efforts.Jackson Energy is doing everything we can – as quickly as we can – and as safely as we can.
