Today on EKU’s campus, State Auditor Mike Harmon addressed the crowd for the business at noon luncheon held by the Richmond chamber of commerce.
Among topics discussed were the KY wired program, which would bring high speed internet to many outlying areas of Kentucky, including a main line right through Richmond. Harmon said this was the highlight of his talk, but he said it is unfortunate that it went from a $30 million dollar investment to over a 1.5 billion dollar investment, because the project was switched from the private sector to public, now on the backs of the taxpayers.
