The Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of an assault involving two men on College Hill Road on Wednesday around 11:00 a.m.
According to official reports, Kenneth Biggs confronted his son, Devin Biggs over money the father accused the son of stealing. That’s when an argument ensued and things got physical. Devin Biggs then struck the father, Kenneth Biggs. with a machete in the forearm causing serious injury.
Kenneth Biggs was taken to Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond for his injuries and then transferred to UK Medical Center.
Devin Biggs was arrested, transported to Baptist Health Richmond and then transferred to UK Medical Center for an unrelated health issue.
Devin Biggs was charged with Attempted Murder – Domestic Violence, Assault 1st Degree (Attempt) and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Devin Biggs has since been lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
The case remains under investigation by Deputy Jennifer Kermeen.
