The Richmond Police Department arrested a man recently for a terroristic threat made to his dad.
Officials received a phone call from Thurman Parsons who stated that his son was threatening to come over to the house and take his guns.
While on the phone with officials, Thurman received a knock on the door. He told officials to respond in case it was his son.
Officials confirmed that it was his 39-year-old son, Christopher Parsons (mugshot not available), standing in front of Thurman’s door. Police observed Christopher and described that he was irate and unsteady on his feet. Christopher was immediately detained.
A records check through Madison County Dispatch determined that Christopher was criminally trespassing on the property.
Christopher had allegedly sent a text message to his dad which reads “I’m coming by there I finally have a ride to Harrodsburg and need to get my guns I don’t want to cause trouble or go to jail but if I leave without to my guns. I will pay every dope head I know to break out your windows slash your tires and you no what I’ll take it out on your brother.”
Thurman stated that the text put him in extreme fear of death or serious physical injury.
Officials believed that Christopher was under the influence of a controlled substance. He was lodged at the Madison County Detention Center and charged with 3rd degree criminal trespassing, 3rd degree terroristic threatening, and public intoxication.
