Berea Police searched an area in Berea last night for a person thought to have been shot.
Police say officers were dispatched to the area of Jefferson Street and Baldwin Street in reference to shots fired at a vehicle. The call came in around 9:20 Thursday night. Approximately 3 to 4 shots were fired. Police arrested one man and, they say another person fled the scene and is unaccounted for.
In custody is 58-year-old Rodney Gipson of Berea, charged with attempted murder, wanton endangerment and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Berea Police found a .32 caliber handgun at the scene that was logged into evidence. The other person has still not been located and is now not believed to be injured. is This is still an active scene tonight. Investigators and K-9 officer are on scene attempting to track the other person who may have unknown injuries. This is an active scene and the investigation is ongoing tonight.
58-year-old Rodney Gipson of Berea
