Sheriff Mike Coyle spoke today at the end of the Madison County Fiscal Court meeting, commending law enforcement and his team of deputies following the capture of murder suspect Shannon Gilday, who was located almost a week after the home invasion at the Morgan residence last month.
Sheriff Coyle said that the team work was instrumental in capturing Shannon Vince Gilday, who police suspect was on his way back to the Morgan residence when he was found near I75, just two miles from the home.
Sheriff Coyle says increased deputy presence will be instituted following this tragedy which continues to affect those here in Madison County.
Gilday will be appearing back in District Court Wednesday morning, following an arraignment where he entered a not guilty plea.
