Pepper was born 1947 to God fearing parents that were childhood sweethearts. He was reared in a country store atmosphere where he cherished the retailing business. His parents lived on a 7 acre farm while maintaining a post office, grocery store and farm.
After and during his military obligation, and while working a full time job, and beginning a family, he graduated from EKU in 1971 with a BS in Agribusiness. Being inspired by his father HT Hardy Jr’s biography, Hardy decided to put his story in print also.
