Richmond Police have been working with Madison County school administrators and others regarding a threat made and shared on social media.
In an update to the posts on social media that have been circulating, Richmond Police have announced that they believe the social media post originated in St. Joseph, Missouri. They continue, in the post to social media, that the posts began a few days ago and have been shared multiple times, finally making its way locally.
The generic threat toward “Central High School” appears to have been directed toward St Joseph’s Central High School in Missouri, and not Central High here in Madison County.
According to police, on October 22, it was reported that three juveniles had been arrested and charged in connection with the threat.
RPD says that as always, they consider these types of threats very seriously and will take the necessary precautions.
