If you’re a resident of the Rose Court area in Berea, you are used t enduring flooding during heavy rains. Today the City of Berea announced the recent completed upgrades to storm drains to resolve this issue.
In a release from Berea City today, Berea City Administrator Rose Beverly briefly touched on the development during Tuesday’s business meeting of the Berea City Council, stating:
“I am happy to report today that the Rose Court project is completed,” Beverly said. “They had a pretty significant storm [Saturday] and it performed pretty well, which is why we’ve really taken our time on that project and done a really good job. The ultimate goal is to get the water to go where it’s supposed to go and it seemed to do really well.”
Berea City Councilman and Public Works Committee Chair Jerry Little praised Berea staffers for their efforts in fixing the chronic problem.
In addition to their other day-to-day duties in maintaining the city, Beverly noted the next major project tackled by Public Works will be the construction of a new firing range for the Berea Police Department.
