Richmond Police: Trio Cause Drunken Disturbance at Richmond Bowling Alley

Richmond Police were called to the Galaxy Bowling Center on Amberly Way recently to investigate a reported disturbance involving multiple people and staff members.

When police arrived, they observed several staff members attempting to restrain a male subject, later identified as Jonathan Moland. Moland’s brother, Waylon Moland, was allegedly attempting to approach officers and staff members during this time.

Multiple witnesses claimed that both Moland brothers and another male subject, Daniel Bates, assaulted two individuals at the bowling alley. Jonathan Moland also reportedly punched several employees and ripped the t-shirt of one staff member.

According to police, Jonathan and Waylon were both highly intoxicated at the time of the incident. Jonathan allegedly attempted to throw one of the arresting officers off of him during the handcuffing process.

After being transported to the Madison County Detention Center, the Moland brothers allegedly threatened officers and deputies, leading to them being placed in restraint chairs.

All three subjects were charged with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place and 4th Degree Assault. Jonathan was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest and Criminal Mischief.
