Richmond police have made an arrest in connection to the shooting incident involving a man and a woman yesterday on Evansdale Avenue in Richmond.
Police say they apprehended 37-year-old Larry J. Lawson Junior of Richmond late yesterday afternoon at a residence on Lexington Road.
Lawson faces robbery and assault charges first degree, as well as possession of fentanyl and heroin offenses.
The arrest stems from the early morning, shooting of two people on Evansdale Avenue yesterday around 6:30.
Police say testimony from the shooting victims and video surveillance from the area showing a man hiding behind a dumpster before attacking the victims, all led them to the arrest of Lawson.
Police also alleged that all three were involved in a plan to buy and sell narcotics at the location.
Lawson was processed and booked in the Madison County detention center
