Detectives with Richmond Police Department have arrested two individuals in reference to the domestic dispute and subsequent shot fired at Ty Court yesterday afternoon.
52-year-old Iris Lewis and 55-year-old Roderick Tejada of Richmond were in an argument when police say Lewis retrieved a firearm from her vehicle and fired one shot, then left the scene. She later returned and all parties were interviewed regarding the altercation. After a search warrant and further investigation, both were arrested and charged.
Lewis was charged with:
• Assault, 4th Degree (Domestic Violence) Minor Injury
• Wanton Endangerment 1st – Discharge of Firearm
• Tampering with Physical Evidence
Tejada was charged with:
• Assault, 4th Degree (Domestic Violence) Minor Injury
No injuries by gunshot have been reported in connection to this case. Both Lewis and Tejada were lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
