Two parents from Richmond are now facing charges after their baby nearly died after allegedly ingesting methadone. 28-year old Brandon Wilson and 34-year-old Hillary Burch were charged with first-degree wanton endangerment after police had to administer narcan to the infant on the third of this month.
Police report that officers responded to Baptist Health in reference to the baby ingesting around 120 grams of the narcotic methadone, and then given narcan to be revived. The citation details that police found Wilson and Burch were responsible for “creating circumstances of extreme indifference to human life” as they allowed their child to be near the drug.
Brandon Wilson was arrested and is lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
