A Lexington man was arrested today and lodged in the Madison County Detention center charged with manslaughter, second-degree.
The arrest is the result of an investigation of an incident that occurred back in January of 2022, where officers responded to an overdose on Memory Lane in Richmond. The victim was transported to Baptist Health Richmond, where he was pronounced dead.
According to the warrant, a search of the victims phone produced Facebook messages between him and the subject discussing drug transactions for earlier that night.
Labs showed that there was a high level of fentanyl in the victims system, and the Coroner did rule the death as an overdose.
37-year-old, Justin Decker of Pimlico Parkway in Lexington is now facing manslaughter second-degree charges stemming from the death.
