Richmond Police arrested a man they charged with 1st degree rape this past Sunday.
Police spoke with a female victim who reported the incident while at Baptist Health Richmond on Saturday evening, January 18th. According to the victim, Demetrius Farris sexually assaulted her at his home earlier that evening.
After obtaining a search warrant for Farris’ home, authorities transported Farris to the Richmond Police Department where they interviewed him about the incident.
Police say Farris would “change his story and account of events throughout the interview”, according to an arrest citation. Following the interview, Farris was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center where he was charged with 1st degree rape.
