Earlier this week police report responding to a call on Red Lick road in reference to an assault. Upon arrival at the scene police report contact with the victim who stated that her husband, 35 year old Billy Gooch had assaulted her then left the home.
The victim stated that her and Bill had been arguing for several days and that four days before the incident bill allegedly grabbed her by the throat and strangled her, then proceeded to hit her while she was laying on the ground breaking her nose and causing bruising.
Deputies report that due to previous drug activity a search was consented to by the victim. During the search a meth pipe, three other pipes, and residue were found in the common area. The victim stated it belonged to Bill. Bill stated that it all belonged to the victim.
Gooch was detained and brought into the Madison County Detention Center.
