Richmond police report conducting a business check at Redi-Mart when they made an arrest on a subject that locked himself in the bathroom on alleged drug charges.
Officers report that upon arrival at Redi-Mart they could hear the manager yelling and knocking on the mans bathroom. According to officials the manager advised them that a female subject had been knocking on the door for several minutes trying to wake her boyfriend, 40 year old JOSEPH FIGELEY.
Officers reportedly got Figeley to open the door when they observed him allegedly sweating profusely with very constricted pupils. Officers also allegedly found a blood mark on Figeley’s arm where he had just allegedly injected what was believed to be heroin.
Figeley was detained and a folded piece of aluminum, containing Suboxone tablet was located in his right pocket, RPD also allegedly located a hypodermic needle on the sink as well.
Figeley was determined to be heavily under the influence of a controlled substance, he was transported to the Madison County Detention Center on charges of public intoxication and possession of an unspecified drug.
