Richmond Man Allegedly Holds Woman at Knifepoint, Demands Pills

Richmond Police Officers recently responded to a complaint regarding a male subject committing a robbery at a North Madison Avenue residence.

When officers arrived at the scene, a victim told officers that a male subject came to her residence with an injury sustained on his left wrist. She then invited the subject, later identified as Michael Fox, into her residence and offered a wet rag for his wound. It was at this time that Fox allegedly began brandishing a utility knife towards the victim and began demanding pills from her.

The victim then stated that she reached for the utility knife and Fox pulled back before pushing it towards her again and stating “If you don’t give me your pills, I will hurt you”. She advised officers that she then ran out of her residence, and towards the elevator. The victim alleges that she heard pill bottles rattling in her home during this time.

According to the citation, police later located Fox in a nearby wooded area in a catatonic state holding a bottle of pills. Fox reportedly began moving and drinking creek water. Officers allegedly had to carry Fox up to the parking lot from the creek. He was transported to the Madison County Detention Center where he was charged with 1st Degree Robbery.
