Today, Andy Barrs office announced that The Central Kentucky Regional Airport in Richmond received $3.5 million in federal funding to construct a general aviation terminal.
The Congressman said this new facility will spur economic development in the region and ensure Kentucky is at the forefront of aviation education.
Barr joined Eastern Kentucky University President David McFadden and local and state officials in Madison County, the city of Richmond, and the City of Berea to celebrate this funding.
