Powell County Sheriff Officials posted on their Facebook page today warning residents after receiving several reports of stolen mail in the area.
According to their post, mail has been taken and scattered along roadways throughout the county.
Residents are advised to pick their packages up from their front porch or driveway as soon as possible to avoid items being stolen.
Report any suspicious activity or vehicles in your area to local law enforcement. Get a description of the vehicle and tag number if possible and you can call Powell County Sheriff Office at (606) 663 2226 or Powell County Dispatch (606) 663 4116.
If you feel that you had your mail stolen, you can file a claim at USPS.com or by calling 877-867-2544 then say “THEFT” or choose option #3.
