Madison County Fire Department provided aid to the Red Lick Volunteer Fire Department as they responded to a house fire early this morning.
The Department says the home was struck by lightning causing the fire around 3:30 this morning, and was fortunately, just a block from the fire house.
Firefighters responded in the lightning and pouring rain to help extinguish the blaze.
The home suffered extensive smoke and water damage, but everyone reportedly made it out safe.
