A woman wanted on a Madison County warrant for contempt of court was arrested Tuesday on a different charge.
39 year old Patricia Edington was arrested for second-degree controlled substance possession (drug unspecified). According to a citation, Richmond police were called to Turpin Drive regarding a possible domestic dispute and found Edington running from behind a residence toward the roadway as they arrived.
Officers commanded her to walk toward them but she accidentally dropped items on the ground along the way. The item was described as a syringe with an unknown liquid substance inside.
Edington reportedly denied the syringe was hers but admitted that it belonged to her later on. She told officer that the liquid inside was suboxone.
She was taken to the Madison County Detention Center.
