Richmond Police responded to the post office in downtown on Madison Avenue Sunday night, around 6:30, after patrons reported blood all over the post office floor.
The facility was shut down while police investigated what they say may have been someone with a badly injured foot. The scene was cleaned up so the facility could reopen Monday morning. Police went on to say there was no evidence of a break in.
No victim has been identified at this time.
Police are investigating the matter.
