During their most recent regular called meeting, the City of Richmond Planning and Zoning Commission discussed a couple of topics including regulations for area subdivisions and overnight shelters. Another item on the agenda was the discussion of a proposed Chipotle to be developed in the Carriage Gate Shopping Center, near 859 Eastern Bypass. The proposal as it was presented during the meeting is for the restaurant to be developed adjacent to Office Depot. However, members of the Planning and Zoning Commission voiced concerns over the impact the current planned layout would have on traffic flow.
Another member of the Commission inquired about the conditions that were agreed upon when Menard’s was constructed in the neighboring lot.
The proposal for the new restaurant is expected to be officially presented by the owner of the Carriage Gate Shopping Center during July’s Commission meeting.
