The Madison Christian Academy (MCA) Junior Varsity boys basketball team earned a state runner up finish in the Kentucky Christian Schools Athletic Association tournament held in Elizabethtown on Friday, January 23. The team competed in the Division II bracket based on the overall age of the teams participating. Over the course of the day, the Knights played a total of six games.
The tournament followed a double elimination format. The Knights defeated Bourbon Christian Academy of Paris, Landmark Christian Academy of Louisville, Faith Defenders of Elizabethtown, and Northside Baptist Christian School of Mayfield. Their only losses came in two games against tournament champion Aldersgate Christian Academy of Cincinnati.
Members of the team include Luke Stories, Jacob Storie, Iain Sabin, Josh Edmister, Joshua Burris, Tucker Batey, Tristan Thomas, and Liam Stratton. The Knights are led by head coach Neal Settle and assisted by Matt Sabin and Sky Edmister. The team bookkeeper is Chris Burris.
