From a Release from the Madison County Sheriff’s Department:
On Tuesday, May 8 2018 around 10:30 a.m., members of the Madison County Street Crimes Unit initiated a traffic stop on Old U.S. 25 in Berea for a traffic violation.
As the vehicle came to a stop, the two occupants fled on foot. One of the subjects fled through the campus of Silver Creek Elementary school causing a temporary lock down of the school.
After a brief search, Deputy Jeff Bol and Deputy Kevin Crutcher located Jason Carpenter hiding behind storage buildings on KY 1016. Nathan Hisle, the second occupant of the vehicle, is still at large. Hisle has an active warrant for a parole violation and may be armed.
Jason Carpenter, 25, of Berea was arrested on active warrants for Failure to Appear from both Madison and Fayette Counties.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Berea Police Department continue to search for Nathan Hisle. Hisle was last seen wearing a red shirt and tennis shoes. If you see anyone match this description, do not approach this individual, please call 911.
