Berea Firefighters responded to a house fire on Tuesday afternoon.
The home, located in the 300 block of Christi Drive, suffered extensive smoke, fire and water damage. Additional resources were requested from Madison County, and Redlick Volunteer Fire Department, to provide water tankers, and man additional manpower.
According to a neighbor, one dog perished, and two other dogs were saved. The couple reportedly lost everything in the blaze.
The Fire Department says that no one else was hurt.
