On Saturday March 21, 2026 Kentucky State Police received a call from Wolfe County Dispatch regarding a two-vehicle fatal traffic collision near the 2400 block of KY 191.
State Police say a Ford Explorer operated by Michael Brand, 49 of Campton, crossed over the center line and struck a Chevrolet S-10 pickup operated by Troy L. Perry, 51 also of Campton.
Mr. Perry was pronounced deceased on scene by Wolfe County Coroner Frank Porter. Michael Brand was transported to University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington for his injuries. Veranda Brand, 18 of Campton Kentucky, whom was a passenger with Mr. Brand, was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center for her injuries.
KSP was assisted on scene by Wolfe County Sheriff’s Department, Wolfe County Fire and EMS and Wolfe County Coroner’s Office. The collision is being reconstructed and remains under investigation by Trooper Leoncio Leal.
