The Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Lancaster Road (KY-52W) near Milton Lane in Madison County at around 8:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 4, 2019.
The initial investigation indicates that 18-year-old Marcus X. Lewis II of Harrodsburg, KY, was driving a 2006 Hyundai Sonata towards Richmond, when the vehicle drove off the road, and collided with a tree. As a result of the collision, Marcus Lewis II sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Madison County Coroner.
The passenger in the vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment.
The investigation is ongoing.
