NWS updates flood predictions for area with lower crests

The latest from the National Weather service for the Kentucky River has been updated tonight. The NWS still is predicting significant flooding but not as bad as last year’s historic levels. Widespread precipitation returns to the area Wednesday night-Thursday night with locally heavy rainfall possible across Kentucky. This is the latest crest graph for the Kentucky River near Ravenna.

A flood watch continues for much of the WBON-TV9 area until 6 AM EST Wednesday. .Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
