A Wednesday night Jessamine County shooting resulted in the hospitalization of one man. According to officials, that man, 30 year-old James Davis, has now been declared dead.
The shooting, which occurred around 8 p.m. at a Mackey Pike residence, was allegedly the result of an argument between Davis and his mother.
Davis was treated for his injuries at a Lexington area hospital, but eventually passed away.
A grand jury is expected to hear the case. However, charges related to the incident have yet to be filed at this time. Davis’ mother has reportedly claimed that self-defense was a factor in the incident.
