A new resident now lives at Liberty Place Recovery Center for Women in Richmond. However, she is recovering in a different kind of way.
Meet Hope, the new dog that was homeless and hopeless, but has now been taken in by the women’s treatment center. After only four days with the 100 women that live and work on themselves at the rehabilitation center, Hope has already bounced back from the conditions she was found in, and is happy to have a home.
Director Gwen Holder and two of the clients who care for Hope on a daily basis told WBON-TV’s Marisa Hempel that they are so grateful to once again have a therapy dog as they go through treatment.
Watch the video to meet Hope and see how she is inspiring the women that are recovering from alcohol and drug addiction.
