Laurel County Sheriff John Root confirms three people have died after a driver, traveling north in the southbound lane caused a crash on I-75 last night.
The report says there were three people in a Nissan Altima car traveling south, when hit by the northbound driver of a Toyota Tacoma truck now identified as 21-year-old Joshua Poore, of Clovis, California. The deceased are all three from the Chicago, Illinois area:
Passenger — Kevin Criglear age 25
passenger – Alihya Dukes age 25
The driver –Deshawn Love age 25
The driver of the truck was transported to UK Hospital. His injuries were described as severe, but not life-threatening. He is now in the custody of the Laurel Sheriffs office, with more charges pending. Soundbound I-75 traffic was closed for hours as traffic was detoured while crews worked the scene.
