It is easy to discern current Nashville native Tiffany Williams’s background from her songwriting, as she makes it a point to pour her Kentucky heart and soul into her lyrics and hauntingly beautiful singing.
The Eastern Kentucky native and coal miner’s daughter came in to WBONtv studios for this month’s edition of Musical Musings.
Williams’s debut EP, when you go, was released January 18, 2019. The EP features five tracks, all written by Williams as a meditation on life in the mountains. Poet and writer Williams told Marisa Hempel that she is inspired by the beauty of the Commonwealth, and just by gazing upon a mountaintop she had the beginnings of her debut record.
She explains during the interview in between her original songs that most of these were recorded at Appalshop, in Letcher County.
