According to London Police, they recently arrested two individuals following a high-speed pursuit from London to Corbin.
On Friday, June 28th around 7 p.m. London Police initiated a traffic stop that led into the high-speed pursuit from KY-192 to Corbin, Ky. Following the pursuit, the man and woman from Georgia were taken into custody.
Upon making contact with the vehicle, a black Volkswagen Tiguan, the officer observed the driver, 26 year old Justin M. Donley of Tucker, Ga. acting nervously. A passenger, Anthony Sizemore exited the vehicle and began speaking with police at which time Donley sped off engaging London Police in a high-speed pursuit according to authorities.
Donley allegedly drove recklessly at high speeds from KY-192 to KY-363, and even struck a mailbox on Philpot road. According to London Police he then drove from US 25 to Corbin, Ky.
While being pursued, Donley allegedly struck a vehicle occupied by three people, causing damage. The pursuit ended with Donley wrecking the vehicle in Corbin. Multiple local law enforcement agencies assisted in the chase and the arrest.
Donley was arrested and charged with disregarding a traffic light, first-degree fleeing or evading police, reckless driving, two counts of second-degree wanton endangerment, improper display of registration plates, first and second-degree criminal mischief, and failure to wear a seat belt.
A passenger in the vehicle, Brittany S. Sizemore, 24, Grifin, Ga. was arrested and charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police.
Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
