Multi-County Chase Ends in Arrests

A high-speed pursuit involving multiple law enforcement agencies led to the arrest of three individuals in Clay County on Tuesday night. The chase began in Laurel County after London City Police attempted to stop a speeding vehicle on Highway 638.

The driver, identified as Michael Flannery, refused to yield, leading to a pursuit that extended into Clay County. During the chase, the suspect vehicle struck spike strips deployed by law enforcement, damaging several police vehicles.

Flannery was arrested on charges of speeding, fleeing or evading police, reckless driving, and multiple counts of wanton endangerment. Two passengers, Andrew Hall and Misty Vaughn, were also arrested. Hall faces charges of menacing and resisting arrest, while Vaughn was arrested on outstanding warrants from Laurel and Knox counties.
