A single vehicle accident on KY 461, just south of Mount Vernon, Monday night resulted in another fatality.
The accident happened around 8 pm near Doc Adams Road. The Rockcastle County Sheriff’s office tells WBON-TV9 Darrell Pittman, 46 of Mount Vernon died in that crash.
Excessive speed, alcohol, and failure to wear a seat belt are all believed to be possible contributing factors at this time.
The official report from the Rockcastle County Sheriff’s reconstruction team is pending.
