Madison County Sheriff’s deputies were finishing up a traffic stop on I -75 just before 5 p.m. Saturday night, when they say a motorcyclist just missed their stopped vehicles doing over 100 mph on or near the fog line.
Deputies tried to pursue the motorcyclist, and according to the citation, they say he shifted gears and continued at a very high rate of speed attempting to elude officers. Officers said the last radar showed the motorcyclist doing 203 miles per hour in a 70-mph zone. Officers further state, the cyclist, now identified as Justus McGlone, “lane split ” many vehicles, nearly causing several wrecks.
Officers abandoned the pursuit out of safety concerns Saturday night, but McGlone was taken into custody Sunday June 9th around 8:30 p.m. on West Irvine St.

Officers say McGlone admitted to fleeing, saying he was just scared because he was already going so fast. According to the citation, he told officers he ended up spending the night in Lexington.
