Continuing with the overcrowding series for the Madison County Detention Center from the ficsal court’s side, Marisa Hempel spoke to Madison County Judge Executive Reagan Taylor about the details regarding his treatment center proposal, and how he came to come up with the idea, which would be the first rehab of its kind in Kentucky. Taylor agreed with the jailer that there is a drug epidemic, but elaborates that his approach of detox rather than detention is quite different from MCDC’s perspective.
