Marijuana Activists Work Overtime to Pass Medical Marijuana Bill

Even though it is a short legislative session in Frankfort this year, activist and legislators are working overtime to pass House Bill 136, a bipartisan bill to allow practitioners to prescribe medical marijuana to patients in Kentucky.  The bill requires the practitioner to have knowledge of a patients complete medical history before prescribing marijuana. If a patient receives a prescription,  they would be allowed to purchase medical marijuana from state licensed discrepancies. Ashly Taylor is a Kentucky native who owns dispensaries in Colorado  and is also involved in multiple marijuana legalization groups in Kentucky.  She told us that a bill like this has never been introduced before.   She went on to say that this bill would help everyone who could benefit from medicinal marijuana.
